Alice Carr, CEO

Alice Carr, CEO - April Housing

As CEO of April Housing, Alice leads a team of over 120 hardworking, passionate people dedicated to preserving, improving, and expanding the supply of affordable housing across the United States. With over 25 years’ experience in real estate, affordable housing and community development, Alice has spent her career working to house families and seniors across the country.

Prior to partnering with Blackstone to establish April Housing in 2022, Alice served as Managing Director and Head of Community Development Banking at JPMorgan Chase. Previously, she was Managing Director at Citi Community Capital and at Low Income Investment Fund, a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Alice currently serves on the Board of Directors for Enterprise Community Investment and Enterprise Community Loan Fund.

Brian Lee
Chief Financial Officer
Brian Lee serves as Chief Financial Officer, leading all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, capital markets and transactions.
He most recently served as Executive Vice President of Finance at Caruso and previously spent 14 years at DigitalBridge/Colony Capital, where he last served as Treasurer and Head of Corporate Finance overseeing capital markets and FP&A, with prior roles in acquisitions and shareholder relations. Brian started his career as an auditor in the real estate group of KPMG and then as an investment banking analyst at Bear Stearns.

Louise Nelson
Chief Legal and Administrative Officer
Louise Nelson is Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at April Housing. In this role, Louise and team oversee all legal matters for the company, in addition to human resources, communications, compliance and strategic initiatives.
Louise most recently served as Vice Chancellor Legal Affairs for the University of California, Los Angeles and previously spent 16 years in senior roles on the legal team of Hilton Worldwide, Inc.

Julio Morales
EVP of Asset Management
Julio Morales is the Executive Vice President of Asset Management. In this role, Julio and his team oversee all aspects of the Asset Management business, including hundreds of properties across the country, portfolio operations, and April’s property management partners.
Prior to joining April Housing, Julio served as Senior Vice President of Asset Management at LivCor. Previously, he held executive roles in real estate and asset management, bringing over 20 years of industry experience.

Gerhard Ang
Chief Accounting Officer
Gerhard Ang serves as the Chief Accounting Officer, leading Corporate, Tax, and Partnership Accounting. Prior to joining April Housing, Gerhard served as Managing Director and Corporate Controller for DigitalBridge/Colony Capital.
Previously, he held senior roles with AECOM, including Finance Controller and Director of Global Mergers and Acquisitions. Gerhard began his career as an Assurance Senior Manager at Ernst & Young before serving as SEC Director at Symetra.

Perica Bell
Managing Director, Preservation
Perica Bell serves as the Head of Preservation, leading April Housing’s strategy and execution related to protecting the supply of affordable housing in the United States. Prior to joining April Housing, Perica was Head of LIHTC Debt and Equity Originations at MUFG Union Bank.
Previously, she served as a Project Manager at Jamboree Housing Corporation, managing the acquisition, financing, and stabilization activities for multifamily affordable housing developments.

Anne Staudhammer
Managing Director, Investor Services
Anne Staudhammer serves as Managing Director of Investor Services, focused on resyndication and equity investment projects.
Anne has more than 30 years of industry experience working with Low Income, Historic, and New Markets tax credits. Prior to joining April Housing, Anne was a Managing Director at AIG Affordable Housing, where she led teams that invested in new tax credit transactions and handled bond and other financings.

Keosha Burns
Head of Communications
Keosha Burns is Head of Communications, leading internal and external communications, public relations, and marketing activities for April Housing.
Prior to joining April Housing, Keosha led external communications for Chase Mortgage and later served as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor for the Community and Affordable Lending team at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she supported the company’s $30 billion racial equity commitment.

Naveen Agrawal
SVP of Capital Markets
Naveen Agrawal is Senior Vice President of Capital Markets, leading April Housing’s debt and LIHTC equity strategy and execution in the real estate portfolio.
Prior to joining April Housing, Naveen worked at Standard Communities where he developed and executed capitalization strategy for over $1 billion of housing and thousands of units. He has also worked in affordable housing project management for Mission Economic Development Agency and the City of Los Angeles.

Jack St. Marie
SVP of Investments
Jack St. Marie is Senior Vice President of Investments, leading April Housing’s investment strategy, including acquisitions, dispositions, buyouts, and transaction management.
Prior to joining April Housing, Jack led affordable housing acquisitions at Fairfield Residential, closing on $2 billion in transactions. Previously, he managed a portfolio of military housing while at CRC Companies.

Prior to joining April Housing, Tahmina held HR leadership roles across multiple industries, with over 12 years of experience primarily in the real estate sector.
